Watercraft Service Manager

OVERVIEW

Do you enjoy boats and jet skis? Do you enjoy being on the water? Looking for something a bit different? This job is for YOU! This is a YEAR-ROUND, FULL-TIME position (we do not lay off in the winter). This position manages the various services our customers receive on their boat and jet ski while in GK’s possession year-round.

• 1 year plus – Working on or around boats or vehicles in some capacity (detailing, service, parts, etc.)
• 1 year plus – Management experience with customers, employees, jobs and operations
• Holding yourself responsible for all your actions and for your team
• Being a self-starter with little oversight
• Strong work ethic and desire to not only lead a team / department – but be part of one
• Having a willingness to learn, be taught, and accept instruction and criticism
• Having and maintaining a valid driver’s license

• This position requires customer jobs to be performed at the highest quality standards
• Reviewing all storage boats and jet skis for services needed
• Providing estimates to every storage boat and jet ski for additional services
• Meeting with customers to review desired service work
• The Watercraft Service Manager will be responsible for keeping all employees and outside vendors on track and time efficient

• No evening hours or Sundays.
• 7:00am – 5:00pm: Monday – Friday
• (October 1 – November 15 & April 10 – Memorial Day): Saturdays – 7:00am – 12noon

This is a salary, plus commission position.  The salary is listed below:

• $50,000 base salary (1^st year) + commission (Plus: Overall Compensation Benefits.) (Approx. $28 – $30+ / hr.)
• Auto Increases for year 2 and 3 (Plus: Commission and Overall Compensation Benefits.)

A good part of this job is talking with customers about the services GK’s can provide them for their boat and/or jet ski.  GK’s stores many boats and jet skis in the winter months.  Many customers need services while their items are in storage.  This is an opportunity to provide services to them during that time.
