This job is much different than driving a semi on a daily basis.  This is a job whereby you are more involved with GK’s customers and manage really cool cars, boat, RVs, motorcycles and jet skis.  GK’s customers are very appreciative of the work we perform for them.  The Storage and Transport Manager can see the direct impact they have on a daily basis with the work they perform.  This is a job whereby you are only driving a portion of your job and the remainder you are managing all the cool items.  The hours are much more predicable than a regular truck driving job, while allowing you to be home every night.

• Having and maintaining a valid driver’s license.
• Valid CDL – Class A (The following restrictions are acceptable: no manual transmission, no air brakes and no tractor trailer)
• Valid DOT Medical Card

A health physical and drug test will be required to operate GK’s trucks and trailers.

• Hours during the spring and fall might be later into the evening and during the height of the storage season there will be partial Saturdays.
• Normal storage/transport hours will be: 7:00am – 5:00pm.
• A 1-hour unpaid break is given each day for lunch.

• Accepting and releasing all storage items.  Staying on top of what vehicles are being released and making sure that the vehicles are ready to go when the customer desires to pick them up.
• Put away all storage items as they arrive (tagging of keys, signs in front window, covering, tendering the batteries and putting cushion mats under all tires.)
• Properly document all work that the items could use: detailing and additional services.
• Blocking and de-blocking all boats in our facility with lifts and stands.

• Having a CDL License requires you be drug free.  Mandatory physicals and drug tests will be administered on a regular basis.  This is an ODOT law.
• Transporting of storage items (cars, boats, jet skis and motorcycles) – to and from our facility.
• Manage the company’s transporting throughout the year: vehicles, boats, motorcycles, jet skis, etc…

• Monday – Friday: 7:00am – 5:00pm.
• During our busy spring and fall storage seasons (middle of April – Memorial Day & October – November) some days could be later than 5:00pm.  Also, during this time there will be half Saturday from 7:00am – about 12noon).

This is a salaried position.  The salary is listed below:

• $60,000 for the 1^st year
• $62,500 for the 2^nd year
• $65,000 for the 3^rd year
