At GK’s Custom Polishing, we take pride in being the premier auto detailing shop in the Greater Cleveland area. After all, we are rated A+ with the Better Business Bureau for a reason! We are so thorough that most of our details take a full day to complete. Many of our customers often ask us what actually goes into a full detail. Well, it is a lot more work that you may expect!
When our expertly talented crew details your vehicle, they literally go over every inch of it. That is both inside and out! For the interior of your car, we first remove and clean your floor mats. The floor and trunk are then carefully vacuumed to remove any debris. Our team then pre-spots and steam cleans the carpet, trunk and upholstery with an extraction system as necessary.
After we work on cleaning the floor, trunk and upholstery, we start to handle the finer details of your interior. The dash, console, door panels, vents and seatbelt buckles are carefully cleaned and dressed. The rubber seals inside your doors are cleaned and all plastic and wood surfaces are treated. Your headliner and sun visor are then delicately cleaned and your windows and vanity mirrors are washed with a fog-free cleaner.
Just as much attention to detail goes into detailing the exterior of your vehicle. We will first degrease your door, trunk and hood jams as well as clean your tires and wheels. We will then wash your car with pH balanced, non-abrasive car soap to clean off the majority of debris that may be on the body. We will make sure that all bugs, tar and tree sap is removed and that any rail dust or industrial fallout is gone. A chamois is used to dry the exterior of your vehicle to prevent any scratching.
After the initial wash, it is time for our team to start making your exterior look show-room new! Oxidation and airborne fallout (clay bar) is removed from the paint, which is then machine polished. This will fix most imperfections in the paint. We will then apply a glaze to any painted surfaces that will restore luster, depth and remove surface swirls and minor scratches. Our detailers then apply Carnauba wax (Grade no. 1) and hand buff it to perfection.
After the majority of the body work is done, our detailers will start to work on the fine details of your exterior. We check your tire pressure and will adjust it accordingly. Any chrome surfaces will be cleaned and polished spotlessly. Your tires are then dressed and your wheels are polished and protected depending on their type. We will blacken your wheel well and dress any exterior rubber trim. Our details then finally clean and protect any plastic areas and polish your windows and side view mirrors.
Everything that was mentioned is what comes standard in a full auto detail at GK’s. This should show that our details give you far more for your money than other detailers do. But we don’t stop there. We also offer several added services to ensure that you vehicle is as clean as possible. Some of our additional services include:
